Two stacked shipping containers became the festival's most photographed entrance, painted with the community's help for Life Is Beautiful 2021.

Two stacked shipping containers became the festival's most photographed entrance, painted with the community's help for Life Is Beautiful 2021.
Approach
We turned two stacked shipping containers into one of the festival's main entrances, but we didn't want to build it alone. We partnered with Dreammakers and brought in kids from the community to lay down the background color and texture, then our artists built the final piece on top of it: "Life Is Beautiful" in bold lettering, wrapped in flowers.
Outcome
It became the photo attendees lined up for before they even got through the gate. But the bigger win happened before the festival opened: kids from the neighborhood got to put their hands on a piece of art that thousands of people would walk past that weekend, and a local nonprofit got to be part of something bigger than either of us could have built alone.
