Approach
VGK and the Vegas Golden Knights bring us onto the plaza on game nights, hours before puck drop, when the space fills with fans making their way toward the arena. We paint live, in real time, blending Golden Knights gold and steel with whatever the night is celebrating: Latino Heritage Night, Asian/Pacific Islander Night, and other themed celebrations throughout the season. The canvas becomes one more stop in the pregame ritual, and one more reason to stick around the plaza a little longer.
Outcome
Fans stop, watch, and take photos with the piece as it comes together, and the artists get to talk shop with people who'd otherwise never set foot in a mural studio. As the Los VGK Marketing Manager Ben Thomas says, “Our partnership has culminated in various projects including live activations outside of games during themed nights.”
